"Shore Leave"

San Diego is the site chosen for Stan’s wartime era painting entitled Shore Leave. The Hotel Del Coronado forms the backdrop for this late afternoon family beach scene. Several sailors have had an enjoyable Sunday afternoon away from the War. A future flyer plays with his balsa wood glider while a weenie roast is enjoyed by all. A very rare 1941 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon compliments the scene.
