"Grandma's Holiday"
Description
The mission revival style train station at San Bernardino is the locale for Stan’s marvelous painting depicting a California farming family taking Grandma to the station for her journey back to Oklahoma to see relatives in the mid-1950s. The Chevy pick-up and the Chevy Nomad in the scene are classics, as well as the Santa Fe Super Chief Diesel. As a child Stan remembers watching this train come by his boyhood home in Southern California.
