"City of San Francisco"
Description
The famous City of San Francisco passenger train followed a route between Chicago and San Francisco. It was an important link between the Midwest and Northern California. It was operated by three railroads including the Union Pacific. UP’s M-10004, one of the most striking “art deco” diesel engines of the 1930s is shown pulling into Berkeley station in the mid-1930s.
